bead

Man I knew I was a better welder than my lincoln SP100 110V would produce. Just laid this baby down this afternoon and made 3 more just like it.

I HIGHLY recommend the Millermatic 180 with auto set if anyone is in the market for a mig. Sounds like "sparky" the electric chair when I pull the trigger!!

Re: bead

That's funny, I just did the same thing recently brrowed my best friends miller and was throwing down insane welds. I just thought it was me. By the way were you pushing or pulling? I aways have better luck pushing.

Re: bead

I was almost exactly 90* which is what I call "pushullen". I was making small cursive "e's" or little loops down the seam. Also cool how a big 230V welder can handle really small jobs too.

Re: bead

Well, in all seriousness, that was some nice welding, kudos! Is that a perch on a axel? I would hardly call that lite welding if it is. So we both know a thing or two about beads....damn( no comment)

Re: bead

shhhhhh.......it wasn't really truck related. I'm putting a ford 9" in my Camaro bracket car. Just tacked them in place with my little 100 until I got the Miller home. Was finally able to burn them in place.

Re: bead

I bought a Miller 211 auto set about 3 months ago.I haven't been able to do much with it yet but what I have done really makes my lack of skills much less noticeable.Looks like you're well on your way to stacking dimes.

Hmm....I think that was almost too well put!!! When you have good equipment, it turns into just doddling on metal! I think more guys would "appear" to be great welders with the right equipment.

Re: bead

What would be nice to see is a bead with the Lincoln next to a bead by the Miller.

Looks really good!
