Just wanted to...

...say hi!

I've been browsing for a while and thought it was time to register and say hello. Picked up my truck a few months back (rescued from the crusher) but because of moving and all it sits at my brothers house. So far I've tuned it up, replaced the door locks, ignition switch and cylinder. Breaks, break lights and determined the gas gauge works but need a new sending unit (going in this weekend).

The truck needs some work but she's mine ya know.. I had a 67 a number of years ago and never felt good about getting rid or it, it went to a good home though. My Uncle has the 67 now and has restored it, I'll try to get some photos and upload them.

I'm going to make the drive from my brothers house in San Bernardino to San Diego (North County) so that will be fun. Nice to have her back on the road.

Thanks for the help I've received so far (great site) and to all the future help. I don't ask many questions, use the search mostly but ya never know.

Here's a photo and I hope to update from time to time with my progress, might be a bit slow as I'm on a very tight budget. Take care everyone!

(I didn't proof, hope it all makes sense )

I guess this was more of a Welcome Area post, sorry about that...

Re: Just wanted to...

Welcome! Glad you saved it from the crusher...amazing what gets crushed in areas w/ minimal rust issues...

Great looking truck to save from the crusher. I'm sure there are many members here that would like to find one that nice.

Smile Re: Just wanted to...

Thank you everyone, I appreciate the welcome.

Hey, I've seen some of the cars at Crusin' Grand, not sure she would fit in.

I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want to grab a few dollars from someone willing to drive or fix the truck. I can understand if it's too far gone to do anything with but... no problem now though, the truck is safe.

It's going to be a daily driver for now, not sure if I want to keep the all terrain tires or go for more of a street tire. I've always been a fan of rally wheels with a nice set of BFG's or something similar. The truck will need some new tires soon so...we'll see.

Re: Just wanted to...

Welcome and thanks for your comment in my Project thread. I'm glad to see that you saved that cool C10 and intend to keep it on the road. Looks nice and clean all that white yeehaw.
