Goodmark replacement door
I wondered if anyone has used a goodmark door on a 67-72 chevy truck with any luck. I want to know about fit and quality or does anyone have a very nice OEM door that they want to part with. Thanks for any help Rick

Re: Goodmark replacement door
It is my understanding that NONE of the doors available in aftermarket are a good fit. Im sure the ones in the know will chime in soon.

Re: Goodmark replacement door
I used both sides on mine. There not bad, but need some tweeking to get a decent fit. They will never be as good as orig. but there better than beat-up rusted ones. I had to cut the top window frame off my old door and weld on to new one to get a good fit. The pass side fit pretty well though. Good Luck!!

I have one on my 68, and I will never use an aftermarket again! Money will be well spent on finding a nice original! .02

Re: Goodmark replacement door
Let me tell u where the problem lies--if u look at an oem door the window frame in the upper curve NARROWS thru the curve---the aftermarkets stay the same width all the way thru the curve--big problem!! took me a while to figure out but when u look close it's obvious-- jim

Re: Goodmark replacement door
Hey Rick, which side do you need? We have a nice pair of doors with factory paint, no bondo, no extra mirror holes but they do have speaker holes.
Hope that helps Paul They may move this to the parts section because it has evolved that way

Re: Goodmark replacement door
The previous doors available were good in some instances and bad to extremely bad at other times. Some would bolt on no problem others needed various portions re-worked by drilling out spot welds and re-welding upper door window frames correctly to the lower door shell, undoing strap holding inner door to outer skin and re-setting it at correct width then rewelding it and others were a total nightmare to get corrected due to poor jig set-up then being welded together causing them to be distorted in belt line gaps, outer to inner skin being aligned incorrectly, etc.... However the same can't be said for the new door shells that are out now in the last year or so the previous door shells available were hit and miss on quality but the new versions appear to be right on the money and after trying them then selling a few dozen to people who bought the old versions from others and receiving stellar feedback from them when compared to the other brands available we are now very happy to offer the Highest Quality doors that actually fit like OEM. Currently the 67-71 are in stock and the 72's which are out of stock are due back in at the end of this month.

Sounds like these may be a good option....Looks like we have a vendor that has tested and stands behind them!!! I would say if the shipping was guarantied to be refunded both ways if they were not a perfect fit...GO FOR IT!!!

Re: Goodmark replacement door
My Goodmark doors have same problem with the window frames. Passenger was good but the drivers window frame has to be cut off and welded on differently. Also one if the holes for the vent window was drilled at wrong place on drivers door. Good luck!
