Re: 72 long bed 2/4 drop
I'm curious about this too. My 72 fleetside longbed has rear leaf (with factory helper springs) and I haven't found much about how to go about lowering the rear of the truck if it has rear leaf springs. BUMP

Re: 72 long bed 2/4 drop
4" rear drop springs...$100 shipped
Cut 1 coil from front.....free Front end allignmet.......$75. I dont think there is a cheaper way without a torch and its not recomended. Now be prepared when going to the allignment shop....they allways want to scare you into balljoints, tire rod ends, pitman arms...etc. "we cant allign it"....thats crap!

Re: 72 long bed 2/4 drop
I used a 1" drop shackle from ECE and pulled out the overload and next spring. Dropped the rear 3.5" in back. I am looking at a set of leafs now from CPP. They have springs from stock height to 5" drop. Fronts I used 2.5" drop spindles and a 1" drop spring.

Re: 72 long bed 2/4 drop
Just to update. The CPP springs are 2-1/2" springs according to the tech. Our springs are 2-1/4". Called ECE and they confirmed that ours are 2-1/4". Ordered my springs from them. Will take a couple of months to get them though. They have to get them made first. Sucks but I KNOW they will fit.
