Strange morning

Whilst I was frying up some breaky a guy came and knocked on the door and asked if that old green truck in the driveway was for sale. 'Maybe for the right price' I said.
So after a bit of jawing and a drive around the block we agreed on a price.
I got the cash. He got the truck.
It's gone but not forgotten.
Onward!! Old truck huntin' again!!!

Re: Strange morning

nothing wrong with moving on to something else. As long as you are both satisfied with the deal, it's a good one. Are you planning to look for another 60-66, or something else?

Re: Strange morning

I found a whole bunch of candidates. Some a short drive away. Some a long drive or a short plane ride away. One in South Dakota. Too far. Going shopping at some local big car shows in the next week. With the money I won on the lottery plus the truck money I've got a 16-18 grand budget. Should find something nice. I'll post some pics when I get a new ride.

Re: Strange morning

A finished ride. Something the wife can drive if need be. No room for much wrenchin' where I live. Actually agin the rules. Tiny garage too!! Time will tell. Gotta be patient. The wife says get it right this time. You gotta stop buying and selling!! Settle on one she says. Gotta do some serious shoppin' this time. LOL!!!

Re: Strange morning

You've got a good pile of dough, and it's a buyers market, so go find the truck you really want and don't let your location limit your choices. Who knows, the right truck might be in the dry southwest ? I personally would rather spend money on a transporter than repairing rust... but that's just me.
Good luck, and happy hunting!
