Shock Opinions?
Sooo, I have a 68 with a 6" drop in the rear, with relocated shock brackets and these white-colored shocks. Well, I believe that both are blown, one still dripping on driveway and the other just doesn;t seem to be working. The truck bounces like crazy on bumps and I am getting quite sick of it now. I was going to do some kind of coil-over shock mounting but decided the funds allow for only replacing the shocks and trying again. Any opinions as to which rear shocks are the best for this application?
I don't want Ohlins, but I don't want AutoBone brand either. Has anyone done a coil-over conversion on oen of these trucks? Thanks!

Re: Shock Opinions?
Did you purchase lowering shocks? Most times that you have shock failure after lowering it is because the shocks are too long and you are bottoming them out. WES

Re: Shock Opinions?
Yep... what Wes said. You need custom length lowering shocks. Which are readily available in the aftermarket. KYB's and Bell Tech are decent.

Re: Shock Opinions?
The truck was already lowered when I got it. The shocks look to be custom units, shorter than stockers, but I have no idea what brand they are. I will check with KYB and Bell Tech. Thanks!

Re: Shock Opinions?
I just installed ECE's 4/6 drop and it came with KYB's. So far I'm likin it, the ride is good maybe a bit stiff but not ruff, like I said the ride is good
