new seat belt webbing

Has anyone out there found any belt webbing that closely matches 67-68's red color? Finding nos is impossible and all the red webbing available out there is just that "red" and 67 68 is more orangy. Rod.

Re: new seat belt webbing

I would contact SMS (auto fabrics) and ask thier tech folks.
These guys bought tons of NOS fabrics a few years back
and might be able to direct you to a supplier.

Re: new seat belt webbing

I will check with a guy local to me. He redid black seatbelts for me with original webbing. When I dropped them off he had BOXES full of NOS webbing all over his garage

Re: new seat belt webbing

I believe GM called it bright red. I think that Snake-Oyl Flame Red #2006 is purdy dang close,if not it. That's what I'll use.

Re: new seat belt webbing

Not to hijack this thread but could use a source for some maroon (69 red) webbing. Been looking in junkyards but fading seems to be common with these. (in addition to the color being hard to find!)

Mike,

Do you sell just the new webbing? I know a guy locally who can do the sewing. I need the maroon color. Truck has the 2 retractors and the 2 matching female belts. (no center belts)

If so, can you give me a price?

Thanks,

Bob
