[86] A/C not blowing out of the upper vents

I found out why my AC was not blowing out of the upper vents today. I went to the junkyard and was looking over heater boxes and it dawned on me that the blend door was not moving enough. So luckily here in Eastern NC the LKQ had at least 7 81-87 Silverado's sitting in the lot. I actually found a Suburban that already had the motor out so it was easy to get to the three bolts that hold the box to the firewall. Got it home and all the vacuum cans worked great.. to bad the heater core was shot.

I just wanted to say thanks to 85gmcguy (Gary) for all the help on IM.

I pulled my heater box and it was apparent that somewhere in the past the heater core was replaced and the box was re-assembled with the blend door backwards and upside down. Sometimes it amazes me..

Also thanks to my good friend Jeff for all the help with my/our projects.. Couldn't do it without you man!

Very ambitious to be out there today at 100 degrees scavenging those square bodies. Good to hear you at least know what the problem is with the blend door. That red/white is turning into a nice truck.
We've got to get us a building for all our current projects and more projects to come.

You know me I'm a glutton for punishment... Hard work is all I know.

We definitely need to find a place. I'm out of room here and we need to find something between us.
