Proportioning valve ??
Will a disc brake proportioning valve work OK on drums front and rear?

its a disc to disc PV or is it disc and drum PV ,i would think it would work being disc pv .

Please don't mix brake parts. You need those important safety parts to work correctly. Each brake component is designed and manufactured for a specific purpose and should not be mixed up. Easier to find the right part than to recover from an accident.

Drum brakes and disc brake require different pressure characteristics and the purpose of the proportioning valve is to keep the pressure in the proper "proportion" in the two separate sides of the system controlled by one master cyl.

Drum brake trucks have a distribution block.
It's not a proportioning valve. Meaning,... it doesn't regulate the front vs rear brake pressures,... it just sends fluid to the 4 wheels. Use the correct parts on your drum brake truck.

What about using differentials from a truck that came with anti-lock brakes? Will the discs work fine with a stock 71 setup?
