More bolt sizes and water pump question
This time timing chain/Cam cover, I took my water pump off yesterday to clean it up and paint it and found a couple of missing bolts in the timing chain/cam cover, what size are they? I'm guessing its 1/4"-20 but I'm probably wide of the mark. Is there any document anywhere that lists all the different bolts used in a SBC to save me bothering you lot all the time?
Secondly, should the nose of the waterpump where the shaft comes out be packed with grease or was it just the accumulated crud of ages? If so do I need proper waterpump grease? As always, thanks guys.

Re: More bolt sizes and water pump question
pick up an arp accessory bolt kit, I got a stainless bolt kit shipped to northern canada for under $100 and the black ones are a bit cheaper. The kit has everything for the whole motor externally and comes all sperately labeled
