carb
would this work on my 1965 c10 V8, rasie or air gap intake, this the carb that on craglist- HOLLEY 500CFM 4 BARREL CARB for 130http://seattle.craigslist.org/kit/pts/2491377195.html. right know i have a holley doulbe pump, unkown CFM, both are manual choke.

I don't think you'd want that on a street engine since the choke horn is missing (on purpose). I believe this is designed to be used in a dual carb setup like a tunnel ram, and the other carb would have the choke assembly.
To work in a single 4 barrel application the choke area should look more like this: http://www.holley.com/0-80450.asp |

i have cleaned my carb and still doesnt want to start i have to add quick start spay only to start. i have adjust the choke and still doesnt want to start any tips.

You absolutely do not want that carb. It's not a 500 cfm....it's a 450 cfm list 9776. It's a tunnel ram only carb and is calibrated to be ran in pairs. It's a mechanical secondary with no rear accel pump. It would be a nightmare on any motor being ran by itself.

Also... if you got a double pumper on the current engine set up you're probably way over carbed. Especially if it's a stock or stockish "V8". Not many street engines need a DP.

i think its the carb, it really hard to getted started cold or hot, i have to use quick spray to getted started. any fix or any other ideas

A different carb. Holley 1850 or an Edelbrock 1405 or 1406. Both are 600cfm's.
