How much cut on bottom cup
I know on 67-72's the bottom cup can be 5/8 inches tall. What about on the 73-87's?

Re: How much cut on bottom cup
I have square body A arms on my blazer and I set the cup in the arm and measured how much I could cut off without rubbing.

Re: How much cut on bottom cup
mine are 2 inches and they're close to the one side already. that's with 2600's something smaller you might be able to cut it some.

I thought it was 1-5/8" total height.

Re: How much cut on bottom cup
The reason I ask, and I pretty much knew I screwed up, was that my dumba$$ cut the cup to a TOTAL of 5/8 inch not a 5/8 inch off the original cup.

Re: How much cut on bottom cup
no problem, it's just metal. You can weld it and cut it again. That's the beauty of metal. You can cut it three times and still be too short, but then you can weld it to make it longer.

Re: How much cut on bottom cup
So have we decided on what Keith thinks, no shorter then 1 5/8? I can buy these:
http://*******************/bag-bracke...t-circle-lower and just flip the other pieces over and weld them on. Just want to make sure the 1 5/8 is correct.

Bryan.
Make a cardboard template. Easy to cut with scissors and correct any errors. Then you will know for sure.

Re: How much cut on bottom cup
I'm confused Keith, I just need to know the minimum height on the bottom cup.

Re: How much cut on bottom cup
Cardboard circle.
(like a halo) 1-5/8" tall. Make sure that is tall or short enough before you cut the actual cup.

Re: How much cut on bottom cup
1 5/8" in my experience, too. That said, I would use a template to be 100% sure...
