headliners, stock or custom

How many of you have a factory headliner in your truck?
Is it part of the Cheyenne package only?
How many have a custom headliner from an upholstery shop?
What I am wondering about is whether one could be put in that covers the roof and down the back wall to the top of the gas tank. Complete coverage like a car would have. Maybe something like vinyl top material of the 70's with thin padding?
Anybody got pics?

The factory headliners are CST/Cheyenne/Cheyenne Super (Sierra/Sierra Grande) and only 69-72,starting late '69. An upholstery shop can fix you up with that idea. I've done custom headliners in the factory location before.

I'll have to save that sounds intriguing. Done right, it would likely reduce interior noise right around your ears. Hummmmm!!!

I'll say this. That probably works pretty well. Is that Dynamat and insulation? Love the foil tape trim! May give that a try. Is it paintable?

Yeah, it's home depot heat insulation. Not sure if it's paintable or not. I haven't tried. But you're right, it would look pretty slick if it could be painted and leave a nice clean edge so about an inch of the foil tape shows. Kinda like poor man's headliner and trim.

Here ya go, I made the window switch bezel and have since filled the holes in the armrests.
