Re: Crazy 63 frame up build

Hey homebuilt....when you do your control arms do you think you can take pics like you did with your frame. I'm interested in seeing how that jig of yours works. It's not something I'd attempt as I'm a complete noob when it comes to welding, but it sure is cool to see. BTW what are you using to weld with. I saw a MIG gun in a few photos, did you use that on your frame or a buzz box?

I will definitely take lots of pictures I am not one who likes to type so I will have no problem taking lots of pics and as far as the welder goes I am using a miller 220 mig as seen in the pics above

I like your chassis frame holder thing you made.
My dad makes his own stuff too like that.
I bet it keeps everything level and true!
And you have casters on it to so you can roll her out of the way!

Re: Crazy 63 frame up build

Crazy question, but I have to ask. Did you check the old frame you made your jig with to be sure it's not bent or twisted? That would be something i would have forgotten to do.

Yea the frame definitely had a small twist and was out of square about ¾ of an inch I do have 3 of these frames and not one was perfect so I basically used the frame as a guide and used my frame table to square everything up
