73-91 Chevrolet suburban Video of the roof from the inside.

There were some questions about what the inside of the roof looks like once the headliner and foam were taken out SOOO I went and shot a quick video!

Thanks man! I dread having to take out the headliner and rear A/C just to weld up some holes lol.

Re: 73-91 Chevrolet suburban Video of the roof from the inside.

Its not to bad of a job. The rear a/c just unplugs and the mount for it is just 4 bolts. The A/C lines run down the passenger side and are held by A metal clip. Remove the clip and you can lay the whole assembly on the floor of the burb.

The head liner is 2 pieces so just take the back part down and leave the front alone.

I used the old A/C mount to hold my axe and shovel.

Does anyone one know if the non rear A/C trucks still have the mounting braces to add the system?

Sadly no it's not. And just FYI, the front 9 inches of the roof section is'nt double layerd but TRIPLE(3) layered. I found out the hard way when iI was installing the GPS antenna lead on my '90 burb and broke the guide bit for my hole saw.
