New guy from so.CA with new68 C20
Hi all!! My name is Dennis and I'm a new old truck owner. Saw this baby with a for sale sign parked on the side of the road a few weeks ago. Always wanted an older truck as a fixer up project. So I bought it. I knew next to nothing about trucks at the time, Didn't even know what a C20 was. After reading this fourm (for hours on end) and ordering a bunch of parts catalogs and being basically all consumed with restoring her. I now know that I have many more decisions to make!! To lower or not to lower?. How low if I do?, Convert to c10 style to increase wheel choices. Eight lug wheels are very limited. What color do I want to paint, Do a frame off restoration or just clean it up and paint. And on and on...
Anyway please bear with me as I may be asking a lot of questions as I progress, (or regress)on this project. Here are a few pics. Thanks for looking. Dennis |

WELCOME!! Nice looking truck I would do a nice paint job and drive it for a while and then decide what you want to do as time goes on. With out a lot of experience if you get to deep into a project you can get discouraged and want to walk away from it. See if there are any clubs around you they would be a great resource.

Anyway, I don't get discouraged easily. I am a machine mechanic/welder/ fabricator by trade so I'm used to keeping machines and such alive!!! |
