71 was the 1st yr for disc brakes(71-72 sharing the same parts) on the 1/2 ton. The balljoints, tierods assys, & spindles were all different on the 67-70. There are aftermarket disc conversion/drop spindles to bolt on the 67 - 70 trucks. crazyL

spindles
the spindles from AIM seem to be a great deal because the price is $168. However, these spindles are for the 73 thru 87 pickup and you will have to get new upper ball joints and tie rod ends. On a 67-70 that will be okay because you will have to swap that stuff anyway. If you are upgrading a 72 like i did, it's easier to go to GMCPaul's and pay $229 and use all of the stock balljoints and tie rod ends. My balljoints and tie rod ends were good. If I were replacing all of that stuff, I would go with the AIM spindles. just my 2 cents worth.

Don't let price be your only choice on suspension or brake parts. Choose QUALITY parts like WESTERN direct bolt in spindles and EIBACH progressive rate drop coils. MOOG suspension parts and WAGNER, BENDIX or RAYBESTOS brake parts. Be very careful and ask lots of questions if buying from places like classic performance products, aim etc. Sport Truck Direct, Early Classics and a few other companies have quality parts. We have changed too many spindles and coils over to our parts here in the shop because of poor ride and handling complaints and most were aim and classic performance parts.
