5.3 motor mounts?

Finally got around to dropping in the 5.3 this weekend. Still had the stock mounts on it from the 01' Suburban it came out of.

For those of you that have used the 5.3 what have you found to be the easiest combo of LS block mounts and frame plates? It looks like about a 12" x 5" piece of 3/8 plate trimmed down to clear the upper control arm and then welded in place?

Don't want to go with a solid mount but have seen the Trans Dapt, etc kits that might allow for a bolt on with some adjustment? Planning on running A/C but right now it looks like I will be running a high mount system since the truck bracket is right on top of the upper a arm!

Re: 5.3 motor mounts?

I think I'm either going to use the car shop poly bushing ones or just the basic adapter plates and old style sbc mounts.

Re: 5.3 motor mounts?

Check this link from my thread , i used adapter plate old style Chevy mount and camaro frame bracket. My frame has a camaro clip, I'm not sure what the s10 crossmember looks like but it may be similar.
