Re: side marker gas fill progress!!!
i love this. it looks awesome.
i just have one concern. since the nozzle cant go in as far isnt the risk of over filling increased? id hate to see that happen and mess up the paint.

Re: side marker gas fill progress!!!
here is the pic of the filler neck on the inside of the bed - i used a 2" radius bend so the filler neck does not stick out any farther than the rear stakepocket/taillight upright and my plan is to make a sheetmetel cover and blend it in so it looks like it is supposed to be there

Re: side marker gas fill progress!!!
Mine is setup about the same, The only problem I have is you have to use the slowest speed on the gas pump when filling.

Re: side marker gas fill progress!!!
Gferris - i am going to use a fuel cell vent / check valve set up i think that is going to work pretty well - the blazer tank has plenty of ports coming off of it to run a hose from and mount it a little ways away .
big mike - that looks good i was a fraid it would be a slow fill but ill see how it works when i actually get to put gas in it - i am hoping to have it done by november for the scottsdale goodguys but if i dont make that i will for sure be ready by the end of the year |

Re: side marker gas fill progress!!!
Have you tested it? Most of the stations around here have the idiotic gasket contraption on the pump and even on my scion its a pain in the ass. I have one station by my house I go to because its th only one I can get a full tank without it clicking off from splashback or the vent. But thank god that gas fume didnt get out...

Re: side marker gas fill progress!!!
Which gas tank did you use? Do you have any pics of how far it sticks down?

Re: side marker gas fill progress!!!
Once we realized the bed interior was going to have to be modified anyway, I liked moving the fill up higher and inside so I don't have to bend over or hunt for the neck opening. You can stick the nozzle in, lock it on full flow while you stand there leaning on the bed rail. Tim's installed these on either side, your choice, mines on Pass side cause I can look over my shoulder and see perfect positioning when I drive up to approach the pump. Don't get me wrong your work does look great and novel, just my Old man's perspective, thats all.
