Question helper spring removal

A buddy of mine told me that I could level my 86 swb half ton out by removing my helper springs, so how do I go about doing that? Is it hard work ? and would it drop it too much?

Re: helper spring removal

helper springs normally if installed properly have nothing to do with how the truck sits staticly without load

a good way wood b to crawl under the truck and look at things
