Re: help!! SPID decode
ZY1 - Solid paint - means all one color (ie, not a two tone)
Perhaps I missed it, but what model year truck? Looks like a fun truck, btw K

Re: help!! SPID decode
The 66W is Mandarin Orange. Your interior is orange. Must be 78 or 79?

http://www.tcpglobal.com/autocolorlibrary/
You can go there and search the color chips for your year/make, some years they have the interior color chips some years they don't. A year for the truck would help us decipher.

Re: help!! SPID decode
The orange was one or two years only, back in the late 70's. I think it is fairly rare, though. The dashpad that is in my truck now was orange, but I fixed that.

Mandarin orange or Firethorn, must be one of those but interior looks darker than the mandarin color.

Re: help!! SPID decode
my 78 doesnt list the interior color on the SPID, but only on the build sheet. on my build sheet the bright red interior is called F/THORN, or firethorn.
Here's a link to where my SPID and build sheet are. they are quite large so you can read them good. I notice too that the SPID calls my ext. color saratoga silver, but the build sheet calls it Med. Gray. In the options list at the bottom right is where the interior color is. just look for F/Thorn Click Here |

66w: XMM1 MAND OR CUSTOM. Sounds like mandarin to me. Show some more pics of the whole thing! Orange interior sounds cool.

That's really neat, I can't say I've ever seen that color. I like it a lot!

Re: help!! SPID decode
How rare is that color? My truck had some areas (behind the door panels and some trim) painted this color before I repainted everything. Mine is a 75 though.
