wiper delay controller

So i was at my friends house the other day and I it was raining again in washington go figure. Anyway back to the story I was complaining about wipers on my blazer high is to slow and low is out of control. I mentioned getting one of the delay modules and wiring it in and just by chance he had one in his tool box brand new but no wiring diagram for it. Any of you guys running one of these? It looks to be from the 80s or so no name black rectangular shaped with knob in center and numbered for speeds. Has about 6 wires in it would like to try it but need a diagram. Any ideas help whatever you got would help i will go take a pic in the am if needed
