Diecast 1:18 Ochre Cheyenne Eagle Graphics.

Check it out! A buddy of mine just sent me a link to this cool diecast. Surprised they're doing an eagle graphics edition. Must be a 67-72 enthusiast in the design department.

Don't know if it's new or not but I've never seen it and thought you would enjoy.

I'd post the pic so you don't have to click thru the link but can't seem to copy it?

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Diecast 1:18 Ochre Cheyenne Eagle Graphics.

Darnit! You beat me to it. I was going to post a thread here title,"Eagle Found On Hiway 61". I just got back from Carlisle where I bought mine. It just came out. I'm a bigtime collector, but don't care for this newfangled huge 1/18 scale stuff, just like the traditional modeling scales 1/64,1/43,and 1/25th. But,I figure since I have about every replica of the 67-72 GM truck made at least one should be in my collection. The guy right across from me had a huge 1/18 scale set-up,but no 67-72s. While packing I took a wiz break and slipped into the nearby building where there are a lot of toy vendors. One guy had some and after a thorough scanning..."BING" there is was! I am very pleased to have found such an exceptional one for the one piece in my collection.

Really! I didn't pay near that. I don't even know what this Hiway 61 stuff retails for. Not many places sell it around here. I just see the stuff on Ebay, diecast websites, and swap meets where they jack the prices up. So far, none on Ebay.

Re: Diecast 1:18 Ochre Cheyenne Eagle Graphics.

The one in the link looks a little different. It has a tonneau cover, door mirror, and rear bumper. Does yours have that Tim or is the linked one a "fancy" version?

Re: Diecast 1:18 Ochre Cheyenne Eagle Graphics.

Mine has that stuff, too. It comes with those things not mounted. The tonneau is behind the truck at the front corner. I guess you just can't see the rear bumper in the picture, but it's mounted. I see that site in the link is calling it a '72 when it's actually a '71.
With all the detail it still seems no one can get all the details right. The interior color is nothing like what any of these trucks had. Even if it was right, the headliner, visors, dash pad and steering wheel are black. Ok,so it has tilt? Well, the steering column is body color and they forgot the tilt lever. The seat upholstery is 69/70. I guess it's a Custom/10 with no body side moldings. But,it does have bright work on the windows,Cheyenne side lenses, and tail lamp trim. It even has accessory rain gutter trim! It looks like the glovebox door opens. I'll have to check the SPID and see what the previous owner changed around BTW,it even has the Eagle graphic on the glovebox door. I think it's a great replica, just a shame they couldn't be more correct (for the money they want). I realize things like the seat cover are probably due to using the same dies. The color isn't exactly Ochre, either. I'd say it's 519 Dark Yellow.
A lot of the info on the box is inaccurate:
396s by 1969
400 in 1972
261 in pickups?
No mention of GMC V6 or 283
1971 brought the introduction of the Sierra, stating it brought ore comfortably fitted interiors and side molding options, when Super Customs had the same interior (except seat scroll pattern). No mention of Cheyenne or CSTs (same thing) as well as Sierra Grandes and Cheyenne Supers.
