it would be better to see it in portions at normal speed...maybe not all the cutting but some of the finish stuff. It looks fantastic.

Re: A door repair video for cool truck folks...........

Cool video! Had to do the same thing to both my doors. Only thing I did different was use some weld through primer on the door skin to door shell mating surfaces and rust treated the inside shell. Also used it as a chance to put some sound deadener where I couldn't reach otherwise.

Yeah, It woulda been nice if they slowed it down to explain some of the work. I hope he treated that rust before he buttoned it up. I wonder whats the price difference between buying new and refurbing the old one?

Re: A door repair video for cool truck folks...........

Around the part were the latch goes there looked to be some sort of a support there, my screw holes in three or four of my doors are cracked or worse. Does anyone know if that part is availble aftermarket? Was there a problem that the general addressed by a service bulliten or recall concerning that area? Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

Thanks! Hey Geoff, yes I plan on some more videos. They will be quickies till they get edited. Getting ready to post a lower front bedside replacement so stay tuned. This one should be pretty cool because it will show some welding and grinding. I think. Anyway, keep checkin.

that would be great earl, not blowing smoke anywhere but I've never seen anyone better at this type of metal repair. Learning from you would be an honor for any of us.

Re: A door repair video for cool truck folks...........

I think you would get bored. It took over five hours to do the bedside. The aftermarket panel, as it was stamped, wasn't close enough. It had to be flattened out and the character line redefined so the wheel opening flow would be correct. Then the door opening side also had to be straightened and the whole panel planished to contour before mock up.
