Sport mirror disassembly ?
How do you remove the mirror head from the arm of the 71-72 sport mirrors?

Re: Sport mirror disassembly ?
My mirror head fell off while speeding down the road, didn't stop to pick it up but I hope I can replace the head.

Re: Sport mirror disassembly ?
Sounds like a repop mirror.
They are just pressed together. (knurled fitting on the mirror head) Try to find some oem mirrors. (or better yet NOS mirrors) They will last forever.

Re: Sport mirror disassembly ?
I've had OEM mirrors go flippy-floppy on me,and that was in the '80s.But,never had one fall off. You just need to replace the whole thing. Kind of a P.I.A.
