Clunk from front springs
My SWB67 has been lowered (don't remember by how much). All the bearing, ball joints, tie rod ends, shocks, etc. have been replaced. If I go over a speed bump too fast my springs make a clunk sound when the truck comes back down.
Since I am about the 5th owner of the truck I am not sure what parts where original. Is there some sort of rubber cup that fits either on the top or bottom of the spring to keep it from clunking?

how was the lowering achevied ?? if it was by butchering the springs it's probable the clunk is the coils compressing to beyond max and its coil to coil contact the same thing would happen if they were torched a good quality lowered progressive rate spring would'nt have this problem

I have both dropped spindles and dropped springs. Don't remember the place I bought them from. Did not torch or cut the springs, truck is low enough to drive without going to bags.

ever tryed just slowing down when hitting speed bumps? lol, Put really it is prombly just the spring compressing from the jar of the speed- bump. I use to have lowerd springs before I went to bags and if I Jacked the truck up by the front crossmember instead of under the a-arm the springs would slide out of there resting spot and would set at a angle so you really just have to slow down when hitting real big bumps.

I have that problem when I jack mine up if I put the jack anywhere but the lower a-arm. The spring is a little short and it doesn't stay tight in the spring cups. I get the pop sound on the way back down. That's with 2" drop springs

Your springs could be to short. Measure the distance between the upper control arm bump stop and the frame. Also you have to make sure the bottom of the spring is seated correctly. There is a little hole drilled in the bottom of the lower control arm in the spring pocket. You should be able to see the end of the spring when you look though the hole.
