WHAT did you pick up for your truck today

I am out of town working and stumbled upon a guy with a pair of rust free doors, a perfect fender and two perfect inner fenders. Just grabbed one door as one was dented in a bad spot though, and he threw in a rust free battery box. Also grabbed a good rad support and a gauge set. Now I have to work out of a van stocked with parts, that could be a challenge.

I'm picking up a bench seat tomorrow. Picked up an inner radiator core support for $50 today.

Re: WHAT did you pick up for your truck today

On Tuesday I took delivery of a painted rear bumper. Wanted to replace my custom bumper since I don't care for how it has to be bolted to the rear fenders.

Re: WHAT did you pick up for your truck today

I was just happy to find one good door. I can't believe I have 8 doors and every one of them is junk. They are really hard to find in good shape, I probably shoul;d have grabbed the other one this guy had but it was creased and I didn't want 9 bad doors.

Re: WHAT did you pick up for your truck today

Surely you could have made one good door out of nine...
I did get two junk doors for free, mine has the paint starting to blister at the pinch at the bottom front corner on both sides, and I want to replace the sheet metal where the po had cut out the doors for speakers, not to mention that the left side they used a hot wrench to get the left window mechanism out...some people should never own vehicles.

Re: WHAT did you pick up for your truck today

Went to the Pomona Swapmeet to try and find parts. Walked about 7 miles and all I got was sore hips!!! Looked at quite a few 60-66 trucks though. It’s amazing how much junk people dig up and think it’s gold.

Picked up doors 9 & 10 today, hopefully they will be my last. Nice guy too, had a few trucks sitting in the woods and one was factory air, he said I could take whatever I wanted free of charge. Just gotta watch the hantivirus.

A brand spaking new set of shiny and bright.....light bulbs.....lol. Dash light bulbs to be exact, well yesterday evening I did. Gonna stop by Wally-World on my way home today and pick up a little CLR and see if I can't get her interior cleaned up a little bit more.
