New guy from North Carolina. 1971 C-30 Flatbed
I will start by saying I have found TONS of info on this site over the past few weeks. Awesome site with some really nice trucks. Since I know everyone loves pictures I will break the bad news to you now, I do not have any pictures of the C-30 uploaded yet. It is actually a friends truck that I am restoring. Tried to buy it from him a few times but he really likes it. It needs about every panel replaced but the roof and passenger door. Wood bed was all redone a few years back and then they hauled a load of fire wood up to their cabin and left it full of wood for almost 3 years so it all needs replacing again. We are wanting to do something like a dump bed/rollback setup but really have no clue where to start until I tear the bed off. It is a 350/4 speed truck. Still rocking the original motor and trans. We rode up to their cabin with a few gallons of gas, a good battery, some glass cleaner and it fired right up so I drove it an hour back home. Can't kill this thing. I will have pictures posted tomorrow!
I really hate I didnt know about this site when I had my last truck. It was a 72 Super Cheyenne. I will post pictures of it also. |

Hey,welcome to the board! I'd like to see pictures of it sitting at the cabin after a few years loaded with firewood. If that's a factory flatbed.be sure to save the steel part of it. The wood can always be replaced and someone would want the rest of you don't use it. Good luck with it.

Re: New guy from North Carolina. 1971 C-30 Flatbed
Sorry guys, I have not had time to work on the truck recently due to the owners funds. I will try and get some pictures up soon. We put the truck to use a few weeks ago on its first towing job. Had a family member give me a 30ft trailer if I could get it out of the woods where they had tried to pull it out with a 4x4 jeep and failed. We rolled up in the big truck, hooked up to it, put the truck in 1st gear, patted the gas one time and it crawled right out of the hole it had been in for 10 years. Ol' truck still has some ball$! lol
