I should be able to do a FATTY smokeshow right?
With a 255/55 17 Kumho Ecsta Supra 711 tire, in my truck (in sig) I have a factory 12-bolt with 4.10 gears. (Only a one-legger though) When I used to have the stock motor and 275/60 15 Radial T/A's, I could light that ONE up like no 2moro! So, with my new combo, I should be able to get a good amount of smoke right? (What about when I switch to a posi, will I be able to smoke BOTH tires just as good as the one?)

I need a posi. I like to punch it when I pull into to traffic sometimes. I scared probly scared crap out of some guy last night when I hit some water and fished tailed around this corner, he thought I was gonna run into his car, I seen him move to the side when he seen and heard me coming around the corner. I was "testing" the new wheels. SHould have some pictures up soon.
I can get just a little bit of smoke to come off my 295/50R15's when I hit it and turn. Those are some big tires to get spinning. Keep 'em spinnin'

I was speaking of width.
But height plays a factor too. I remember when I had stock tires on, I could smoke them no problem with the 305.

Ya they only do a churp if i really try it going around a corner its really not to big of a deal for me since tires are not that cheap that and getting a ticket but its fun to be able to do it every know and then. i had a manual in my old 61 and i dummped that clutch all the time.

I usually spin the tires when someone is looking or therea another 73-87 around. I have had a few 73-87 owners give me a thumbs up after a good tire spinnin'.

My truck does a pretty good job of smoking both tires even with an automatic. I think I surprise a lot of people when I do it. I don't think they expect it.
We had a bit of a rain storm Sunday afternoon and it's always fun to go out with the roads a little wet. Chirped my tires going into 2nd and 3rd gears and even fishtailed a bit going down a straightaway. I don't make a habit of them, these tires get expensive and the tickets aren't too cheap either!!

After hearing you guys, I'm beginning to think that maybe my 350 isn't stock . No, really, its probably just the three speed and the one-leg. I've got an automatic and that tire ROASTS!!! I had 255s on the rear, but I even roasted the 275 the night I got them. A couple of guys in an old Chevelle crossed the road in front of me and I just had to do it... . Seeing their faces made it worth it. I can't wait to repair the fire damage and get the new posi rear-end. I'm all about power and its effects on asphalt.

Maybe my engine just doesnt have the power it will not roast the tires or chirp them from a stand point . only time i can burn or chirp is when going around a corner and punching. if i try from a stand point it just takes off. oh well its not a really big deal since tires are not cheap.lol or tickets
