turbo 400 4x4 case question

does a turbo 400 4x4 case have 4 or 6 convertor inspection cover bolts? The turbo 350 has 4 for 2wd and 6 for 4x4, is this the case for the turbo 400 also? how do you know if the turbo 400 is a factory 4x4 tranny?

Re: turbo 400 4x4 case question

as long as output shaft is for a 4x4 should it matter? I think all cases are the same

(unless a th350c) could be wrong though...

Re: turbo 400 4x4 case question

For our vintage of trucks they are the same, the K (4 wheel drive ) cases started when they changed from the transfercase side mount.
