Tools storage bag info

I have been reading old threads for bout 40 minutes. Seen alot of good pics, But none that answered my question. Does anyone have a closeup of the string on the tool bag including how was it secured to the bag? Also what the thread sewing the edges looks like. Looking to re-create one of these.

I don't have a closeup but the one on my bag looked exactly like a 1/4" wide white cloth shoestring... It was sewn to the bag in the middle of the string. I'm not sure what I even did with it, I will have to see if I can find it and check the stitching.

The 71/72 units were not even sewn, the string was stapled to the foam. I have an original and one of the reproductions I think at my mother's home. These things are ver difficult to find intact as I am sure you know. The 67/68 units were made of burlap or similar material and I have only seen one of those in person.

Im looking for the 69. I have the foam material here at work and could ask my grandmother to sew it up for me for sure. May just make one out of leather too!
