AZ 1971 truck data book..

im selling my 1971 dealers salesmans data book. the bible of our trucks..
everything you ever wanted to know about the 1971 trucks, .. to include vega, elcamino, k5 blazer, c10--series 10-80, vans, cab overs, ect.
decoding vin #'s, dimensions, weights, gvw, optional equipment, tire/wheel cominations.. spids, interior options, excesories, exterior trim options, color chips, ratios, transmission options, heaters, specifications, revision dates, prices! and on and on. its 3" thick. comes with the original chevrolet data book brief case binder! "top grain cowhide".
overall condition is about a #8. asking $200.00 plus shipping. i thank you for looking. dave

I would go 150.00 for it as these are scarce but come up at swap meets here in Mi. several times a season for 75-125 for them.. Got more pics of the whole thing with the cover.

Hi not trying to down play the book as it is scarce and you are correct about the dealer getting one per year. but the 3 that sold this year on ebay sold between 100-125 for the last one with the cover I did not but at that time as I did not have my 71 pick up but I sold my 69 Chevy and all of the literature to the buyer as well as this very book for a 69. I have had these in the past for various vehicles as they are the best for info for sure for factory numbers and all. Here in Michigan you see them in the summer months at the swap meets and several have surfaced over the last 2 years as several dealers are gone and got rid of all of there old books and such I was not trying to LOW BALL you I was just making what I thought was a fair offer for a great book. If you change your mind let me now. I am serious and can send payment right away. Thanks critterman71

i understand where you are comming from. please belive me when i say i never thought or said you were "low balling me". what i did is researched on this site in form of a search and found 2- that were listed for sale. one sold price was 160.00 with out the original binder and missing some pages. and another one had a asking price of 250.00 with no sale. so thats how i came up with the price i did. 200.00. again, i thank you very much for your interest

If I had a 71, I would gladly pay $200 for that thing. I have a 68 and have been looking high and low for a 1968 truck data book. I wonder how much info would be pertainent for the 1968 model?

i agree! i sold my 71 and 72. replaced it with a 65. so i dont need it but, if it doesnt sell i will keep it. getting scarce! thx again zepp.. dave

I have one that I printed off the internet for a '67, but I can't remember where; and anyways, to copy it off is a PITA. Also, no color pictures like that one. Pretty cool if you have a '70.
