Door stop bracket question
I bought a new set of door checks - do I leave the cotter pin in place or do I need to move it back for the checks to work? I moved it back so it would slide freely and now its falling apart ? never messed with these before.

if i am understanding correctly then put the cotter pin back in,just be sure to install the rubber spacer back in also incase it fell into the door.
