Intake casting number.

Hey guys,

Do anyone here have any good links for the casting numbers for a factory 350 that are for our trucks, I am currently trying to find the correct intake manifold for my 1971 cheyenne?

Re: Intake casting number.

I would poke around on the NastyZ28site.

A few tips from someone that's been there...
Be sure when shopping for a cast iron intake to take the
tin plate (heat shield) off the bottom, chip away the carbon,
clean and check for cracks.

If it looks good, DO go as far as a magnaflux to be sure.
Our local shop charges $15-$25 (depending if they have to sandblast).
It will save a lot of time and $ if it proves hiddenly cracked.

I want through this years ago and had to reject many, many
before finding the correct & good intake.

In my case it was a '68 327 so it may be easier with a later model 350.

Good Luck!

Re: Intake casting number.

Try this link: http://outintheshop.com/faq/casting/castings2.html

This should have the information that you need plus anything else you might need for later. I just have it bookmarked on my computer so it's easier to find when I need it.

Good luck!
