Driver door won't lock - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

On my 70, I turn the key to lock and the rod goes down, but I can still open and close the door. Any idea why?

It's not going down all the way. Try pushing on the door as your turn the key and see if it engages all the way then.
