heater core

I'm going to replace my heater core in my '62 GMC. Do I need to drop the whole unit? Also it's a recirculating unit, nothing in the engine compartment. Thanks

Re: heater core

you will have to pull the unit out, and disconnect the heater hoses to get the heater core out. think theres only three bolts in the firewall for it.
