a local prize for sale
http://www.usedvictoria.com/classifi...-side_15583149
has a newer longer base 4 x 4 under it as one can notice by observing the w/base. still registered as 2 whl/drive why do they do these things to these trucks. if you ever get in an accident with these things here ; your insurance is invalid as nothing conforms. if you have a welded up frame here and it isn't certified and that accident thing happens(but it will never happen to me thing), your insurance is more than likely toast. mvb and government insurance are married the guy says that it is easy to get registered. don't know why they never do it before they try and sell it ron |

Re: a local prize for sale
That surely drives me nuts, someone selling a truck and it " only needs a couple small items repaired/replaced" or "I have the parts to fix" or " easy to get reg and inspected".
I know some of us run completely out of money, but if it would only take a couple hundred to get it running or fix some issue, do it! ok, sorry Ill quit

Looks like a good project truck. What you said sure makes me appreciate our freedoms here. Down here ins. Companies are to busy taking money and cutting checks to crawl under. Our trucks and check the frame. These issues were never about safety. Its about control. If safety was a concern we would not have smart cars and f350's on the same roads.

Re: a local prize for sale
I think that we have the same freedoms as you do. I don't have a problem with our insurance set-up . The basic ins. is mandatory and the rest your able to purchase from whomever. here insurance and license plates go together. vehicles that come in from out of province have to be inspected before you can license them. if you alter a frame (cut and weld) and it is not up to snuff(should be inspected) and you get into an accident, you may find yourself without any coverage. there is a lot of bubblegum welding out there that shouldn't be going down the road.
do you really like the freedom in not knowing what is on the road coming towards you. it is more so now that there with all the frame alterations that are going on ron don't get me wrong there are a lot of guys out there doing good work, but what about all of the frame work being done by individuals that don't really know |

Down here its the drivers. Not the automobiles that are dangerous.
