Need Carb Help I Think????

My son has a 70 swb stepside with a 250 with a Rochester Monojet. The truck will sit and idle fine, but when you are driving it will cut off like it is starving for fuel, if you pull over it will crank fine and sit and idle, go another 1000 feet and cut off again. I have taken the carb partially apart to clean but it still does the same thing. The fuel filter stays completely full during this process so I know the pump is good( it has complete new fuel system from tank to filter anyway). Any suggestions????

There is a small filter behind the fiting that the fuel line goes in. If you have not checked it that is your problem.

Rebuilt the carb, replaced the in line filter, problem solved and it actually runs and starts better than it has since we have had it. Thanks guys
