Re: leaf spring question
Hmmm.... on my K20, rears are 2.5" wide -- fronts are tapered, 2.5" at the center and 3" at the ends.

Re: leaf spring question
Just buy a kit. Or, if you call a reputable spring builder, they will know all that info.

Re: leaf spring question
i ve lifted many trucks. i dont have the money to run out and buy a high priced kit. i always bargain shop. was gonna find deals on some springs but wanted to see what i needed first. never lifted a truck of this year. i knew the springs was different than those of 73-87 trucks. i will not give 800 plus for a lift kit. lifted my last blazer 12 inches and bought front and rear springs for around 300 bucks. most of the time the kits you buy doesnt have the steering i need anyway. prob gonna run crossover steering on a 60 front

Re: leaf spring question
My OEM front springs (removed from the truck) appeared to be about 44". I'll measure front & rear eye-to-eye tomorrow if it'll help.

Re: leaf spring question
Find a set of 52" rear springs. Buy this kit:
http://diy4x.com/cart/index.php?rout...product_id=122 Then buy this for the rear: http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog/shacklekit.htm That should be about 4" total lift. Not sure how big you want to go. The rear 52" springs should be in 69-80s GM trucks. Or better yet, find a set of 56" rear GM springs at a junk yard. They bolt directly into the rear of your truck with the ORD shackle flip. Then take your factory 52" springs and put them on the front with the DIY kit. For about $400, you'd have an excellent performing suspension. |

Re: leaf spring question
There are spring places on the web that give the measurements.
