Bed Parts
I don't see me using any of these OEM parts any time soon,so I've decided to offer them up for sale. They are what is left of my spare bed parts stash. I was going to build a Stepside trailer for behind my Stepside SWB K/30 project that isn't going to happen. I have 2 RH Stepside bedsides (Green SOLD),1 driver Fleetside tailgate (SOLD),and 2 RH steps (Blue SOLD). I also have a pair of straight longbed Stepside bedsides in original paint that have some rust at the fender mounting surface that I'd consider selling if anyone is interested. I am willing to ship and will find the cheapest way. Any shipping not included in price. I can accept postal money orders.
This bedside was blocked, epoxy primed, and ready for paint. Has some shelf wear now,but a totally straight rustfree OEM part. New Price...$200:

Re: Bed Parts
I have a few more pictures of the nicer bedside, then the second one. It is in original Army Green paint and has no rust, but will need a little work. It has has hoes drilled in the top and the angle strip will need to be replaced. (Army Green SOLD):

Re: Bed Parts
Here is side step #2. It is also rustfree (except surface) and straight, but the top flange has some damage that can be straightened out and,as you know, won't be seen once installed. New Price...$25
SOLD>Then,a couple pictures of the driver Fleetside gate. It is straight and has no rust out. It does have some decent surface rust spots and also a dent at the bottom/inside,which didn't affect the line of the bottom (somehow). It ain't purdy but beats a bank...(SOLD):

Ok Brad, I'll look into Greyhound and we'll find out. Is there a station near you? Let me know what station if that'll work for you.

Hey Tim, any luck on Strayhound pricing? I'd also be interested in the tail lights if the other brad (Blap) passes.
Thanks

Re: Bed Parts
I got it weighed finally and it looks like just under $100. The quote said $96.20. Let me know how that sounds. If Brad doesn't take the lights I'll let you know.
The other bedside is what I have left from a beautiful pair. The other one was still stripped to bare metal with a bit of light flash rust. I was surprised the guy didn't take both but he only needed the one side. In my opinion this is the better side of the two. It's cheaper than it's Taiwan-made counterpart. That's a steal for the real thing.

Re: Bed Parts
Thanks but for almost $200 shipped I'll have to pass for now. There is a whole 72 short step for sale local for $500 minus motor and trans that I'm going to look at.
If you still have it after Christmas maybe we can do something. Thanks again. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Bed Parts
Ok,I guess shipping a large chunk of body like this isn't as cheap as we'd like.Let me know how that local bed turns out. Watch that area where the fenders bolt up. If Blap doesn't take the tail lights I'd throw them in to sweeten the deal.

Re: Bed Parts
These are all short Stepside parts. The only tailgates I have are GMC,a N.O.S. 63-87 and a nice used 54-62 (earlier letter style). I haven't decided if I want to sell those

Re: Bed Parts
I'm back. The local truck turned out to be a long stepper...and rusty.
Since I'm looking at shipping a huge piece of metal...would you happen to have the rear rail that ties the bedsides together? How about bed rails? This is for my rat rod project so quality is not that big an issue. Thanks Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Bed Parts
I do have a not so pretty rear sill that may be useable. I'll be right back with a picture....
Ok,it has rust holes on top where the wood lays. They could be fixed but I don't know if you would want to bother. If you want it I'll give it to you,but it'll add some to the shipping cost. Oh,and Blap didn't take the tail lamps.

Re: Bed Parts
looks like I'll take the bedside, let me go thru my parts stash when I get off work and see if I need anything else. You need a money order correct?
Do you have to create this thing or just tag it and put it on the bus?
