Need Brake Booster Advice

I currently have a 3/4 ton master Cylinder and I'm not sure what constitutes a 3/4 ton brake booster. Does 11" Booster = 3/4 ton ?

It's a long story how I got here, but I'll give you the short version for your amusement. I bought a kit off of e-bay years ago, and when I finally installed it I couldn't get the master cylinder to bleed, so I went to O'Reilly's and got a replacement master cylinder that I thought would fit the lines, but it wound up being a 3/4 ton master cylinder, and the lines were reversed, so then I got the right lines for the 3/4 ton master cylinder. It works now, but it just doesn't feel like it has enough power and the booster is too small.


When you stop laughing at me could you check this 11" booster from E-Bay and tell me if it will work with what I have now? The Ebay listing says it's compatible with C10 , but the 11" booster at Summit says it's compatible with C20 or C10. I could go with LMC which explicitly says it is 3/4 ton, but it would probably be black and I would prefer the zinc plated if possible.

It was an easy swap. It actually came with the master cylinder, but I didn't want to re-bleed the brakes so I just used the one I already had which was the same thing. Boy what a difference! It feels right like power brakes are supposed to feel.

I feel ripped off from the kit I bought off of e-bay. I have since read reviews about the guy I bought it from and they aren't good. Live and learn.

The one in the first pic looks like a 8" dual diaphragm

Should the 8" Dual Diaphragm have been sufficient? Was it not strong enough because I was trying to pair it with a 3/4 ton Master Cylinder?

Or could it be because I don't quite have the timing / vacuum adjusted properly yet?

It may been a defective unit also. you have the correct one for a 3/4 ton. its a dual also.the 8" is not suffecient enough. you should have 18" of vacuum to work correct at idle
