Like the Subject says. Does anyone have a picture of how this is supposed to bolt in? Thanks in advance.

That's the way my '86 is too. Reason being, the coolant overflow is on the pass side.

Coolant overflow is on the passenger side on my 83 also, but the jack and handle still fit there - the long jack handle goes through a hole in the core support. It does not look very well designed but that is the installation instruction on the decal under the jack on the inner fender.

Did 87 change from 83? If not, then my pics show the tools and jack in place on the passenger inner fender. If you can find a pic of the fender decal for an 87, then that would show the proper location of the jack and tools. I think LMC sells the decals, at least some of them, so you might check their catalog, or Classic Parts for an idea.

Re: Picture of Jack Handle and Tire Tool on fender well 81-78
As I recall, my 77 had the same set up as the picture of my 83 in the second post above. My 83 picture shows a 3/4 ton jack, but I have since replaced it with a 1/2 ton jack because the 3/4 ton jack would not work.

I would check the pick and pull, but they usually remove the jack before the vehicle goes out on the lot to prevent people from jacking up the vehicles. Ebay often has used jacks, but make sure that the one you get actually works.

Re: Picture of Jack Handle and Tire Tool on fender well 81-78
I have tried a jeep jack and a ford jack, both look very similar, but no way will fit properly. I have tried placing the jack many different ways. I do have the correct mounting brackets, front and back of wheel well. And...my jack instructions sticker is still in good shape, so I was using that to make sure I had proper placement. Guess i'll have to get a 70's chevy truck jack from ebay or something. Thanks all for the pics and replys.

Great timing on this, I'm at the point of reinstalling these items on my truck. ,I failed to tag the bolts that hold the tools down. There different lengths. Thanks for the photo's.
