Cowl vent screen
Has any one put a screen under the cowl vent grill to keep debis out? Some 60's trucks come with then stock but I haven't seen them on 55-59 trucks. Looking for a simple way to do it. Pictures would be appreciated.

I haven't done it to my 57 yet but I did it to my last truck. I used aluminum screen because it would conform to the contour of the vent cover. I glued it to the vent cover with hot glue to hold it in place until I got it installed. After that the screws and pressure from the vent cover held it. This is a mod that the factory should have done.

Thanks for the picture. That looks really nice and clean. I was thinking of a similar idea but using stainless and this picture really helps.
