69 250 electric choke wiring?

Hi Gang, I have a stock I6 250 but has a mid 70's rochester 1 bbl with electric choke. Its starting to get cold here and truck is taking longer to start. I would like to use the electric choke but am not familiar with wiring of it. Any suggestion of how to run a wire or to tap an existing line already in compartment would be great. thanks

Run a dedicated wire from the fuse panel. Should be a couple that are marked as unfused. Use 12 gauge wire.

Make sure it doesn't have power when the key is off. If it does it will run your battery dead. WES

Re: 69 250 electric choke wiring?

I think the M&H wiring I'm using is getting it from the starter solenoid - 12V when the key is on.
