Running engine with A/C or PS lines
I am hours away from finally being able to fire (I hope) my engine for the first time, but I have changed to a serpentine setup. So I am wondering if I can actually safely fire it without AC Lines or PS lines hooked up.
When I fired the old engine we just left those belts off, now with the serpentine kit on there so that isn't a possibility. For the PS I have to buy new lines to fit March's remote reservoir. For the AC, I don't have the cab on the frame or clean lines to install. So is it safe to run the AC compressor without power but open connections, and the power steering pump totally open?

Re: Running engine with A/C or PS lines
The AC would be fine as you can turn off the AC switch + it's should have a safety valve to prevent it form coming on with no Freon (so clutch will not engage).
The PS pump is another sorry. I wouldn't run it dry. s/t
