1958 step side v8 conversion

I guess why i am am posting this is to get pointed in a direction, due to lack of knowledge in this area. I have a 235 in my 4 eye,i want a v8 in it. I have a 1985 firebird formula at my disposal, can i use the frame or does this car even have a sub frame to use? I am deployed right now and i am just getting my ducks in a row. If i can use this car i will use everything off from it that i can , i.e. brakes/booster, rear axle, front suspension. But is this the right, or strong, or even correct route? All info is a huge help..

Nope that is not the subframe to use. Your looking for a 1970-1981. 1981 is the cut off year. Also the rearend is a 7.5 you can use it but its not as strong was the 8.5 that would be in the 2 Generation Firedbird and Camaros 1970-1981.
