how do i know what rear end is in my 69 and whats the best rear end to have

I have a 69 custom/10 1/2 ton, was a 350 with a 4 barrel and 350 trans, its now sporting a Pontiac 350 still a 350 trans, gonna build a mild 383 stroker, still not 100% sure what I'll do for the trans but the truck will be used as a daily driver, it will see a few runs at the drag strip and im sure ill do a good bit of hauling with the old girl, ive heard alot about dana 60's and also read some about them on here, what the best/easiest rearend to build or just leave alone for 450-600 HP and about equal torque numbers and do a 4 wheel disc setup?

Your differential is probably a 12 bolt unless someone changed it out. Count the bolts holding the cover on the rear end. It should have 12 fasteners holding it on.
