Thumbs up Hellwig rear anti-sway bar!

Brand-new---Fits 73-87' C10 trucks (Blazer/Jimmy probably as well) and includes instructions. It does need new washers/nuts for the axle U-bolts and new U-bolts. (I test fitted the bar and the nuts on the driver side U-bolt stripped out). It also will need new bolts (Endlinks) for the front assembly because Hellwig supplies crappy hardware. Otherwise, everything is there. I'm asking $65.00 + shipping OBO.

Ocbaud,
I would like to but I have got to have a pic of it installed.
What I need to know is where the bar is located in relation to the center of the rear end cover.
I have a spare tire that just about hits the rear cover now. I think it has maybe 1" clearance.
I know your truck is low and all but look at it this way, several people on here wanted to see your new bar, me included.
Do us all a favor huh? LOLOL

rear swaybar

Hey Eric - yours is the exact same as the one LowC10 is selling... I'm guessing you got the one from swervin a while back, I remember you were wanting it pretty bad. Assuming that's what happened, was wondering about shipping when you got yours, cost etc. I'm guessing it would be close to the same. Also, my truck is not lowered, has the factory sway bar on the front. Any benifit from adding a rear swaybar on a stock setup?

The actual bar is like Mike's but Hellwig changed how they mount it. It does not use those large L-brackets outboard of the frame rail or J-bolts. The bolt (Endlink) bolts directly to/through the bottom of the frame rail.

shipping was about $17 bucks. few cents less. the bar that mike sold me was for a stock height truck(end links = 6") trucks lowered as much as mine have endlinks that are 4.5"

i flipped mine under the axle since my bed is so close to the axle since its lowered. I rear bar should help a lot with a stock height truck, but i dont know from personal experience.

Also, Hellwig offers two different bars for our trucks---The only difference is the hardware. Being that mine needs new hardware, it doesn't matter what year or height the truck is. The actual bar is the same for our trucks.

BTW, thanks for the help Ocbaud!

I can second that, as I bought LowC10's other rear sway bar, which is of the older design with the L brackets and J hooks and can't wait for Eric to post some pictures of his install, but work & school & girl friend comes first. Not necessarily in that order

Not yet, going to do it with everything else when she is dropped 4/6 later this year, I hope. Got a few more things to get and I'll have everything I am going to need.

Just buy some rechargable batteries, then you won't have to wait so long next time unless you forget to charge them....
