LS2 and a 6 speed
I found a LS2 and a T56 complete drop out of a Chevy SSR. I was just wondering if I go to get it what all you guys would recommend that I try to get with it. It is supposed to come with all accessories, clutch slave cylinder, wiring, drive shaft. Any help comments, or concerns would be great.

Wiring harness, O2 sensors, Computer, (didnt say what year so not all applicable) MAF, TAC, Pedal, air box?, all belts and hoses, fuse box.
Might not need it all but it adds up quick when you don't have it.

Thanks and yes it will add up, thats why I was wanting to get an idea of what all to try to get the first time to get it all as a package. Thanks for the input!

get everything they'll give you. You can always toss/sell what you don't need.

Like everybody said, get all you can. I was able to use the exhaust system all the way to the flange that ended up at the back of the cab. Fuel lines as far back as you can. As the Alien said, get the fuse box if you can. That was the hardest thing for me but I used all the fuses as the OE. Get all the AC stuff you can if you are going to use AC. I used the motor mounts from the SSR. They are nice and mount to the cross-member of our trucks so they are out of the way of everything. They take some modification though. I used a 6 litre from a 2005 SSR with T56 in my 65, check out my build thread if you want. Good luck. Post some pics of what you got. TR

One more thing.
If you want to get the cruise to work you will need the roof control module and the body control module. Believe it or not the e-brake signal is put on the bus by one of those modules as is the AC request. The cruise requires the e-brake signal, as does the crankshaft relearn procedure. Get the shop manuals for the SSR model year you have. They are invaluable to get all the electrical right. TR

I'm not sure what style or weight of the flywheel is in the SSR, but i yanked the dual mass terd out of my CTSV @ 40K miles! It tipped the scale at 45lbs. I replaced w/ a Monster Clutch Stg. 2.5 kit w/ light weight flywheel option. That car was forever changed...
