Nice score! I had a gold 66 with the orange/white seat like that and a blue 64 with the same seat but gold/white. Joseph

Re: You will not believe!!!!!!!!!!
I've never actually seen a red seat before (besides photos) in all the years of looking. They indeed are RARE!. Also, never even heard of the factory offering other colors besides red as an option to the standard fawn. I'm guessing the aforementioned blue and gold trimmed seats must have been re-do's.

Re: You will not believe!!!!!!!!!!
Depends upon the condition of the seat, I guess. It would be a real shame to alter a scarce original red seat that was in great shape, just to match an exterior color change. Seems that if you are going to re-do the upholstery anyway, why mess up the rare one when any old seat would work, you know? You could probably trade plus get some cash from another member here that wants a red seat. I dunno.

this was at the one in Newark off of Mowry. im always keeping an eye out on their website's inventory list. sometimes there are trucks in the yard but are not listed the inventory list and when i go see the truck, its been picked to the bone.
thanks. so did every year have a specific design? i've only seen 2 different designs.
